Are you searching for new ideas for your nails? I have found myself searching many interesting posts, hoping to find the perfect set. Let me give you five timeless staples that will pair well with this winter weather.
- NEUTRAL COLORS
- I love a great neutral palette for nails. My go-to neutrals have been sheer pink jelly and light beige that match my skin tone. Whether at the shop or a DIY nail girl, these two staples never fail, regardless of the season. Check out GAOY nail polishes on Amazon as well as igel polish. I love this brand in Cosmic Latte. I also love their neutral pink in vintage lace.
- DESIGNS
- Designs can easily elevate any set of nails. I love abstract nails and nice complimentary colors. For the fall, I suggest trying a nice chocolate brown color. In the winter, I love to play with deep reds and rich blues to add complexity and elegance to all my nail designs.
- CLASSIC FRENCH TIP
- The French Tip is a classic look. I love the original pink and white look, but I have seen this look elevate with the donut-style nail. If you feel like switching up your style, I would say expand your look with the donut style. While OPI Tin Man was the original chrome powder used to achieve the classic donut look, I have found others. As a DIY nail girly, I used white chrome powder, and I find that a little goes a long way.
- TORTOISE SHELL
- The last suggestion that I have is the classic fall tortoise shell. This is a simple nail design for some, but it is a work in progress for me. I have three suggestions if you want to do this nail set at home. Hopefully, one of them will work for you.
- OPTION ONE: If you have the funding, you can always go and let a professional nail tech give you the style. This can be just one finger, the entire hand, or the French tip style. Whatever style you choose, I suggest you do your research.
- OPTION TWO: Try it at home. Bettle has a nail kit you can purchase from Amazon and practice on yourself. While it may take some time, I promise you will learn and have some extra savings in your pocket with time.
- OPTION THREE: Press on!! I know that press back in the day used to cause people to look at you sideways, but today, they have changed. Today’s press-ons are sturdy and long-lasting, giving you that fresh-from-the-salon look.
